Mott MacDonald is expanding its presence in the rail and metro enhancement sector across the Middle East—and we’re now seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing transportation and infrastructure team. You will play a pivotal role in delivering complex RTA station enhancement and upgrade projects , working closely with specialists across rail systems, architecture, civil structures, fire safety, and MEP disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, review, and delivery of electrical systems for metro/rail station enhancement projects Prepare load calculations, electrical layouts, schematics, reports, and technical specifications Manage and coordinate electrical inputs across multidisciplinary engineering teamsConduct site assessments, surveys, and technical evaluations of existing station electrical infrastructure Provide technical oversight during installation, testing, and commissioning Ensure all work complies with RTA, DEWA, and Dubai Civil Defense regulations Review contractor submissions, method statements, risk assessments, and material proposals Support project managers with progress reporting, programme inputs, and risk identification Engage with clients, consultants, authorities, and project partners throughout the project lifecycle Contribute to winning work, including preparing technical proposals and fee inputs. Candidate Specification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred Demonstrated experience with RTA, metro stations, or transportation enhancement programmes Strong understanding of LV distribution, lighting, emergency systems, UPS, earthing & bonding, and ELV interfaces Experience working with integrated station systems, including SCADA and fire alarm networks Chartership or working toward chartership is an advantage Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and technical report‑writing skills Strong commercial awareness with the ability to work within budget, scope, and programme Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and interface effectively with authorities Flexible working At Mott MacDonald, we support our staff to create work-life balance which works for them and welcome candidates looking for career flexibility.
