Charterhouse are currently working with a confidential global family office that is continuing to invest in its Product Support & Design Division. Our client is looking to hire for a Senior AI Engineer, who will contribute significantly to the design, enhancement, and deployment of intelligent, agent-driven systems across the organisation.
About the Role
The Senior AI Engineer will be responsible for leading data-driven and model-driven initiatives, developing advanced agent-based systems, and architecting technical workflows that underpin the organisation’s digital products. The role will focus on designing both single agent and multi agent architectures, building frameworks that leverage reasoning, planning, task execution, and feedback loops.
A key aspect of the position involves developing tool augmented systems that enable agents to interact reliably with APIs, databases, external services, and internal tools. The Senior AI Engineer will also be expected to implement and refine context management approaches to ensure continuity, consistency, and long horizon task execution while making informed design decisions based on model capabilities, inference behaviour, performance trade-offs, and scalability considerations.
About You
The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline, with strong foundations in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and modern modelling techniques. Candidate with experience in data intensive sectors such as finance, healthcare, or e-commerce will be viewed favourably. Additional consideration will be given to those who have contributed to research, open source projects, or technical publications demonstrating domain leadership, though this is not mandatory.
Our client is looking for candidates with commercial experience developing agent-based or LLM assisted applications beyond basic conversational interfaces. Ideal candidate should be proficient in architecting agent frameworks incorporating memory, tool use, planning cycles, and multi agent coordination. Familiarity with modern agent orchestration ecosystems such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or equivalent platforms is desirable. A strong understanding of model behaviour, training approaches, inference characteristics, and structured problem solving is also essential. Strong communication skills in English are also essential for this role.
