The Role
The Senior Construction Engineer – Piping is responsible for overseeing, supervising, and managing all piping construction activities at site to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes.

Responsibilities:
- Review engineering drawings (P&IDs, isometrics, GA, tie‑in drawings) and ensure compliance with standards.
- Supervise pipeline construction activities such as stringing, welding, NDT, coating, lowering‑in, and backfilling.
- Oversee tie‑ins, shutdown works, and hot tapping in coordination with site teams.
- Ensure adherence to ASME, API, and project specifications for all off‑pad piping works.
- Monitor ROW (Right‑of‑Way) activities, trenching, pipe supports, alignment, and backfilling.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for welding, NDT, coating inspections, and material verification.
- Lead HSE compliance on site, ensuring PTW, JSA/HIRA, and safe execution of all activities.
- Plan and supervise pressure testing (hydro/pneumatic), flushing, pigging, and reinstatement.
- Prepare and review test packs, drawings, redlines, and documentation for Mechanical Completion.
- Track daily/weekly progress, resolve technical issues, and support construction planning.
- Ensure material availability, including pipes, fittings, valves, and welding consumables.
- Coordinate with contractors, PMC, and client teams for site activities and approvals.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports, weld logs, NDT status, and construction updates.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, supervisors, and foremen to achieve project targets.

Expected:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional certifications (CSWIP, PMP, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas projects.
- At least 5 years in PMC role on ADNOC Onshore or similar Middle East projects.
- Strong experience in piping construction for upstream oil & gas facilities (pipelines, well pads, process plants, utilities
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC Onshore standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Familiar with international codes: ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8, API, ASTM.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and site priorities.
- Proficient in construction planning and progress monitoring.
