Security officers are responsible for protecting personnel, property, and assets by maintaining a high-visibility presence, conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance systems (CCTV), and controlling access points. They ensure safety by enforcing regulations, responding to emergencies like fires or medical incidents, and documenting all activities in detailed reports. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Surveillance and Monitoring: Operating CCTV cameras, security panels, and alarm systems to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
  • Patrolling: Conducting regular, thorough patrols of the premises (interior/exterior, parking lots) to secure doors, windows, and gates.
  • Access Control: Managing visitor logs, verifying identification, and screening personnel or vehicles to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Emergency Response: Acting as first responders to emergencies (medical, fire, security breaches), managing evacuations, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services.
  • Reporting: Preparing detailed, accurate incident reports and maintaining daily activity logs.
  • Safety Enforcement: Ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service: Acting as a point of contact for visitors and employees, providing assistance while maintaining a professional demeanor.
