The Director - Origination will play a crucial role in MashreqBank's Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG). This position requires a strategic and results-driven professional who can identify and pursue new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the bank's overall growth and success. The Director will work closely with the CIBG team to originate, structure, and execute complex transactions, leveraging their market knowledge and industry expertise.

- Lead and manage a team of relationship managers and origination specialists.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors and industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends and potential investment opportunities.
- Structure and execute complex transactions, including M&A deals, debt/equity financing, and restructuring projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, legal, and marketing, to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide strategic advice and solutions to clients, leveraging your financial expertise and industry knowledge.
- Develop and implement origination strategies to enhance the bank's market presence and reputation.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination within the team and with external partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is mandatory.
- MBA, CA, or CFA certifications are preferred, with CFA being an added advantage.
- 7-10 years of experience in front-line/relationship management or origination/structuring roles in commercial/investment banking.
- Demonstrated success in originating and structuring complex transactions, preferably in a multi-bank environment.
- Strong credit, legal, and marketing skills, with a thorough understanding of various financial products/services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Market awareness and a deep understanding of capital market trends in the region.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
