As a Ground Operations Controller, you will perform a wide range of activities to support, develop, review, update, and deliver ground operations training. You will support station start up, terminal and service provider changes through delivery of training and on-site support, targeting safe and secure ground handling operations. You will also assess, report and escalate load control, ground operations and training non-compliance.
Accountabilities
- Arrange and deliver ground operations training to Etihad and third-party service provider personnel as required, including manual load control, load control system, freight application, electronic forms and centralized load control (CLC) coordination.
- Develop and maintain Ground Operations below wing training content in line with company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain training records in line with company and regulatory requirements for all below-wing training delivered by Etihad Ground Operations.
- Deliver remote and on-site oversight and support for station startups and ground handling agent changes, targeting safe, secure and compliant aircraft handling, CLC coordination and related functions.
- Provide appropriate feedback to line manager on progress and any issues relating to training and below-wing readiness for new station start-ups and ground handling service provider changes.
- Perform the functions of Business Solutions Specialist - Load Control Systems, where required to support cross-functional utilization in the interests of efficiency and continuity.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma
- 5 years of airline and/or GHA experience, including a minimum of 3 years in load control or related ground operations scopes
- Demonstrable knowledge of load control, including aircraft type characteristics and differences
- Experience in load control and/or dangerous goods training
- A high standard of verbal and written English
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Competency in using Microsoft Office
