JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Finance Business Partner provides financial leadership, information, insight, and guidance to the select EMEA Disciplines in collaboration with the Senior Director Finance Business Partner with focus on various funding sources including but not limited to Net Admin, Sales & Marketing funds, Loyalty, Program & services, PSF and Shared services. He / she will work closely with Senior Director, Continent Leadership, the larger Continent Finance and the HQ-based FBPs team to compile, review and analyze financial data and to provide variance analysis to budget and forecast. 
The Manager, Finance Business Partner will provide proactive management to ensure the financial management, reporting, and analysis needs are met through effective partnerships with the Continent Finance Team. He/she will establish and maintain strong relationships with these Discipline groups to help effectively address business issues, identify and implement appropriate solutions, influence, as appropriate, business decisions, and improve overall business results. He/she will partner with the disciplines and the team to implement, as appropriate, finance and accounting strategies, policies, processes, and tools to ensure accurate financial reporting and to monitor the achievement of enterprise business goals.
The key objective of the role includes:
Providing insightful analysis, guidance and support to the Senior Director Finance Business Partner to identify and recommend opportunities and strategies for improvement and focus on trends, benchmarks and goals to help guide the leadership in their planning and strategic decisions.
Managing the on-going monitoring, measuring, and forecasting, the financial performance and the development and implementation of actionable recommendations to address identified business challenges and opportunities. 
Provide dedicated Finance Business Support to select disciplines.
SCOPE/BUSINESS CONTEXT/EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies 
Work with Continent Accounting Team to oversee the accounting, reporting and financial analysis necessary to support the assigned disciplines.
Manage the monitoring and analysis costs to ensure compliance with funding requirements and cost allocation methodologies, to determine over/under recovery positions. Lead funding and cost analyses to support business decision making and to respond to internal management and external parties inquires.
Ensure knowledge and understanding of funding and cost allocation methodologies for assigned disciplines.
Understand the requirements of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition Standard) and its impact on the accurate recording of over / under balances, providing direct input into EMEA’s Program & Services reporting and governance process, working closely with various stakeholders across the organization if applicable to the assigned disciplines.
Manage relationship with Accenture Hospitality Services (AHS/MBS) and other stakeholder groups, as appropriate, to provide routine and ad-hoc operating results and analysis to Senior Director.
Contribute knowledge of the business environment and interpret data and reports in consultation with the Senior Director and discipline leaders as appropriate, to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information, explain trends and/or variations in results vs. expectations, and develop and implement actionable recommendations and responses to address identified business challenges and opportunities.
Ensure team members have the knowledge and understanding of the assigned Discipline departments, sub-departments and entities. 
Monitor and analyze costs as compared to budget, last year and forecast. Perform financial analyses to support business decision making and to respond to internal management and external parties inquires.
Establish and nurture relationships with the Global Finance and Continent teams to ensure information flow is timely and appropriate to effect attention to business challenges and opportunities.
Partner with MBS to ensure service delivery metrics are met and operational challenges are resolved timely.
Develop and/or modify reporting tools to ensure operating results, programs, and services funding if applicable and costs are accurately reflected in company financials.
Manage the timely and effective execution of the enterprise-wide annual budget, forecast and long-range planning processes, partnering with Senior Director, discipline and Projects staff, and MBS. 
Ensure in-depth knowledge and understanding of current processes and tools to facilitate serving as a key resource to Senior Director. Support the implementation of new and/or enhanced processes and tools to increase effectiveness and efficiency in the execution of budgeting and planning processes.
Manage the preparation and consolidation of EMEA budgets and long-range plans, including variance analyses and reporting required by the Senior Director and VP Finance EMEA.
Assist with facilitation and managing the team deliverables on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
Lead activities and deliverables in support of the Senior Director, including.
Analyze organization changes and financial impact
Manage deliverables of additional balance sheet and financial results reporting
Manage deliverables of additional financial results reporting
Where applicable lead the training and coaching of the staff; provide specific feedback to junior team members to improve performance; Contribute to the organizational effectiveness of the Senior Director by actively seeking to improve processes and clarify work roles.
Identify and help implement process improvement opportunities in the interfaces with assigned EMEA Discipline leaders.
Perform ad-hoc analyses for and/or provide information to and advise, as appropriate, the EMEA FBP team, discipline leads and other leaders on the business environment and key operating issues within the discipline.
Prepare the on-going capacity and funding analyses of assigned departments, projects, and initiatives to support business decision making and to respond to internal management and external parties’ inquiries.
Communicate with Continent Finance team, HQ-based FBP’s, Global Tech team and Department Heads, when necessary, to review analysis and forecasts, variances to forecasts, actual spend questions, and other issues that impact assigned Continent funding sources as appropriate. Resolve discrepancies and ensure necessary corrections are made, when applicable.
Serve as the subject matter expert on the processes and procedures related and ensure compliance with related processes and/or procedures (maintain accurate and complete MarrSTAR records, obtain sign-off from Continent CFO, maintain documentation to support funding rationale and approval) are maintained
Monitor the control environment and the development of actionable recommendations to improve controls and processes. Develop documentation for key processes and procedures related to assigned disciplines and/or funding source.
Work within the assigned discipline leaders to ensure that spending remains within budget. Identify offsets when costs exceed budget or Continent Over/Under (Rev Rec) funding declines.
Maintain Excel files used for forecasting and ensuring that each year, information is accurately reflected and preserved
Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Understands and utilises Peoplesoft and Hyperion as necessary.
Ensure balance sheets are properly reconciled (where required)
Assist with Month end Close, balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly reporting deadlines when required.
Coordinates and implements work and projects assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Establishes and maintains complete and up-to-date information to ensure accurate reporting.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Minimum of two years financial management experience 
Proficiency in Hyperion and Peoplesoft is a distinct advantage 
Knowledge of internal Marriott accounting practices (preferred)
History of consistently delivering business results
Experience in complex data analysis and financial modeling
Ability to lead processes to meet ad-hoc and reoccurring deliverables
Comfortable presenting financial information to Senior Leaders in the Disciplines the team supports
Prior experience assisting a team in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment a plus
Strong business and financial acumen
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; able to take complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner
Effective problem-solving abilities: recognizes and researches problems and identifies their underlying causes and recommends and implements solutions
Excellent organizational skills; effective in planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
