Job Purpose

At Emirates, we believe in connecting the world, to and through our global hub in Dubai and in constantly innovating to ensure our customers ‘Fly Better’. As one of the most recognised and admired brands globally, we’re driven by innovation and excellence.

As Programme Director, you will lead the enterprise-wide transition from a multi-ERP landscape to Cloud ERP across the Emirates Group, working closely with IT. The programme will establish a single scalable digital ecosystem for Finance and Procurement, covering in scope processes, enabling standardised operations, stronger governance, and real-time insights.

This is a 36-month fixed-term contract based in Dubai, with 5 days per week in the office.

You will be responsible for programme strategy, governance and delivery, ensuring alignment across IT, Finance and Procurement while embedding best practices and meeting regulatory requirements.

This role leads one of the Group’s most significant transformations, overseeing large internal teams and delivery partners with direct Executive visibility. You will be accountable for adoption, benefits realisation, operating model maturity, and sustained value beyond go-live.

In the role, you will:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the global Cloud ERP transformation from mobilisation through post-go live stabilisation, accountable for scope, timeline, budget, benefits, and quality targets being achieved across the entities in scope for the Group.
  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary global program organisation (large internal teams plus delivery partners), driving high performance, clear accountability, and integrated delivery across multiple workstreams and geographies.
  • Operate as the single point of accountability to Executive Leadership, designing and running the executive governance framework (SteerCOs, Change Control, Design Authority and PMO), enabling timely decision making, risk management, and transparent reporting to executive leadership and Boards.
  • Establish and operate enterprise‑grade governance, including financial oversight, risk management, internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance, aligned with Group governance standards and Boards.
  • Champion a single global template and standardise processes, enforcing principles such as minimal customisation, single source of truth, and scalable architecture while balancing local regulatory requirements.
  • Align Finance, Procurement (for in scope processes), IT, Executive and Line of Business Leadership to ensure strong sponsorship, clear accountability, and sustained engagement across all in scope entities and geographies.
  • Own and drive enterprise‑wide change and adoption, communications, training and business readiness, addressing cultural, behavioural, and capability shifts required to move from localised ERP practices to a global, standardised operating model while tracking and delivering measurable business benefits.
  • Partner with IT to govern system integrators, vendors and internal teams to ensure integrated delivery, strong performance management, and seamless coordination across multiple workstreams ensuring delivery of contracted and successful business outcomes.

Qualification
  • Degree or Honours qualification (12+3 or equivalent) in IT, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • Project or programme management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or Agile are preferred. Extensive ERP transformation experience can be accepted instead
  • Around 12+ years of experience across Information Technology and Finance environments
  • At least 10 years of leading global Cloud ERP transformation programmes across Finance and Procurement
  • Proven delivery of large-scale global ERP programmes with successful go-live and long-term adoption across complex multi-entity organisations
  • Strong leadership experience managing large programme teams across multiple countries and coordinating system implementation partners
  • Experience working closely with IT organisations and managing vendors, contracts and major programme budgets
  • Executive-level stakeholder management experience with the credibility to influence senior leadership and Board-level decisions
  • Strong programme governance capability, including PMO frameworks, benefits realisation and structured delivery approaches
  • Deep understanding of ERP data migration, integrations, reporting and data governance
  • Strong focus on process standardisation, template based design and minimal customisation
  • Strong communication and change leadership skills with the ability to drive adoption across multinational teams
  • Additional desirable experience:
    • Strong knowledge of Cloud ERP functional capabilities.
    • Experience leading business transformation initiatives beyond technology implementation.
    • Ability to translate business requirements into functional system solutions.
    • Experience working in a large multinational matrixed global organisation with diverse regional requirements.
    • Exposure to governance, internal controls, and compliance considerations within ERP transformations.
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
    • Ability to lead teams and drive delivery outcomes.
