As a Senior Software Engineer for the Airline Reservation Enhancements initiative, you will
design and implement the high-performance database solutions that power our Clients
global reservation ecosystem. You will transform complex, disparate data sources into
actionable insights and scalable warehouse architectures, ensuring that one of the worlds
leading airlines maintains its competitive edge through data accuracy, system stability, and
optimized integration pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Database Architecture & Design: Design and build robust database solutions and
data models using Oracle and Amazon Redshift to support large-scale airline
reservation data.
Complex Data Transformation: Perform advanced data analysis and
transformation across disparate sources, ensuring data integrity and high-
performance processing.
ETL & Pipeline Development: Develop and implement modular, reusable data
integration components and scalable ETL pipelines for enterprise-grade data
warehousing.
Performance Engineering: Identify and resolve bottlenecks through expert query
optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning of complex PL/SQL stored
procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with eCommerce, Finance, and IT
departments to gather requirements and deliver unified data solutions that meet
multibillion-dollar business objectives.
Modern Data Engineering: Contribute to the evolution of the data stack by
leveraging AWS cloud services and big data frameworks (Hadoop/Spark) for bulk
data processing.
Required Skills & Experience
Database Mastery: 5–8 years of experience with Advanced SQL and PL/SQL.
Expert-level skills in writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries and stored
procedures.
Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with Oracle and Amazon Redshift is
essential; proficiency in SQL Server is a distinct advantage.
Data Integration: Proven track record in designing end-to-end data integration
requirements and modular ETL components.
Big Data & Cloud: Familiarity with AWS Cloud, Hadoop, Hive, or Spark
frameworks.
Industry Domain: Previous experience in the Aviation/Airline domain (Reservation
systems specifically) is highly valued.
Leadership Qualities: Strong problem-solving aptitude and the ability to collaborate
effectively in a high-pressure, multicultural enterprise environment.
