Job Title: Hotel Sales Manager

Location: Abu Dhabi (UAE)

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reports To: General Manager

Position Summary

The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales efforts targeting corporate, leisure, group, MICE, restaurant, and banquet segments. The role focuses on generating new business, maintaining key client relationships, maximizing occupancy and F&B revenues, and positioning the hotel competitively within the market.

The Sales Manager works closely with the General Manager and operational departments to ensure revenue targets, ADR, and profitability goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with hotel revenue objectives.
  • Drive transient, corporate, group, MICE, restaurant, and banquet sales.
  • Identify new business opportunities in local and international markets.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and market intelligence reporting.
  • Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.

2. MICE & Group Sales

  • Actively solicit and secure MICE business (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions).
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close group agreements.
  • Coordinate site inspections and client presentations.
  • Work with operations to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Monitor pick-up reports and group rooming lists.

3. Restaurant & Banquet Sales

  • Proactively sell banquet spaces for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings.
  • Drive restaurant bookings for private events and corporate dining.
  • Build relationships with event planners, wedding planners, and corporate clients.
  • Ensure banquet revenue targets are met.

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain a strong database of corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event organizers.
  • Conduct regular sales calls and client visits.
  • Attend networking events and industry exhibitions.
  • Ensure high client retention and repeat business.

5. Reporting & Administration

  • Submit weekly sales activity reports to the General Manager.
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
  • Track KPIs including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and banquet revenue.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel sales within a 4 or 5-star property.
  • Bachelor degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Management or related field.
  • Proven experience handling Group & MICE sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell restaurant outlets and banquet spaces.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Knowledge of Middle East hospitality market preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in hotel PMS and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.
