Job Purpose


The role works closely with the Head of PICG Risk & Governance in designing, implementing and monitoring the overall risk management strategy of People & Intellectual Capital Group, including the assessment of internal controls within the group, compliance with the audit requirements, information security & data privacy and mitigation of operational risks. The job holder is responsible for communicating risk policies and processes, providing hands-on development of risk models involving operational risk, assuring controls are operating effectively, and providing research and analytical support.


Key Result Areas


  • Support the Head of Risk & Governance in maintaining operating rhythm for PICG by ensuring scheduled reviews are organized and all action items are taken to closure.


  • Develop and maintain the PICG Risk Register.


  • Identify, assess, and mitigate PICG-related risks (compliance, operational, reputational, data privacy, etc.).


  • Conduct periodic risk assessments across PICG processes (recruitment, payroll, performance management, employee relations, etc.).


  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and report findings to leadership.


  • Developing and building relationships with PICG Leads, improving their team efficiency in existing and new operations.


  • Working with leadership to implement, monitor and present the progress of operational risk related plans and goals. This includes the ongoing review/upkeep of RCSA, Risk Register, BCP/BIA documentation and related testing on an ongoing basis across the PICG Divisions in all locations thereby ensuring appropriate risk mitigation plans are in place and operating effectively for PICG critical processes.


  • Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within PICG Group.


  • Support with strategy materials, quarterly reviews with GCEO, EXCO presentations, Townhalls and offsites.


  • Serve as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications.


  • Manage the audit requirements, working with the Internal Audit Group and PICG team during the audit cycles, to ensure control framework aligns with current operational processes and where required, update controls, and support with audit findings closure.


  • Support design and implement internal controls within HR processes.


  • Act as HR liaison with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams as and when required.


  • Ensure PICG data privacy and protection controls are in place.


  • Prepare internal and external stakeholders reports such as GCEO dashboard, PICG MBO, ESG reports, etc.


  • Provide regular risk and compliance dashboard. 


  • Review and monitor the global and local SOPs and processes to minimise risk and control gaps. Work with the PICG leads to assess effectiveness of the existing processes and controls to ensure risk is mitigated, controls are effective and operational effectiveness.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience. 


  • College graduate with a minimum Bachelor degree in any field.


  • At least 5-7 years of experience of working in a large organisation preferably in Risk and Control


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


  • Excellent skills in MS Office 


  • Good organisational capabilities and decision-making skills


  • Excellent data analysis, analytical skills and an eye for details.


  • Ability to understand broader business issues, and present complex information in a clear and precise manner.


Experienced in using HR Systems & reporting tools preferably Oracle Fusion HCM.
