Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all pastry operations, ensuring high-quality production of desserts and baked goods, maintaining food safety standards, and leading a team of pastry chefs to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all pastry kitchen operations.
- Develop and design innovative dessert menus aligned with the company’s concept and standards.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all pastry products.
- Oversee daily production of cakes, pastries, breads, chocolates, and specialty desserts.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Monitor inventory, control food costs, and reduce waste.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate pastry staff performance.
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef and management for special events and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure proper maintenance and use of kitchen equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in pastry arts, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts preferred.
- Strong knowledge of modern and classical pastry techniques.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
