About the job HVAC ENGINEER
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Engineer to join our Engineering team for the Engineering phase of Onshore Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering / Detailed Design within onshore project environments and must be immediately available.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and review HVAC design basis, calculations, specifications, and detailed engineering documents as per project requirements during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
- Perform heat load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, and HVAC system layout development for technical buildings, substations, control rooms, and process areas.
- Develop ducting and piping layouts, insulation specifications, ventilation and pressurization systems, and HVAC control system designs.
- Prepare HVAC datasheets, material requisitions (MR), and technical bid evaluations (TBE) for procurement activities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil & Structural) to resolve design interfaces and IDC comments.
- Review vendor drawings and technical documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
- Participate in design review meetings, HAZOP, model reviews, and technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all HVAC engineering deliverables are completed within project schedule, budget, and required quality standards.
- Provide technical clarification and engineering support during procurement and project execution stages.
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and project-specific requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates to the project management team.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in HVAC engineering for Onshore Oil & Gas projects (mandatory).
- Strong experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering / Detailed Design phases.
- Hands-on experience in heat load calculations, equipment selection, duct and piping design, ventilation and pressurization systems, and HVAC control philosophy.
- Experience in preparation of design basis, datasheets, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
- Good inter-discipline coordination skills with the ability to resolve technical conflicts efficiently.
- Familiarity with international HVAC codes and standards.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software and AutoCAD (knowledge of 3D modeling tools is an added advantage).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be immediately available to join.
