We are looking for a driven and capable Senior Mechanical Managing Consultant to support us with the development of multiple data center projects for one of the top technology clients in the world. 

• This client-facing role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills 
• Ability to self-direct while representing the client and maintaining strong engineering and project delivery fundamentals 
• Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently and across multiple regions 
• A strong background in data center cooling infrastructure, mechanical plant systems, and plumbing services is essential

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide conceptual inputs and technical analysis for data center cooling, mechanical and plumbing infrastructure systems 
• Develop plans and technical details for highly efficient mechanical and plumbing solutions for data center facilities 
• Coordinate and define performance parameters aligned with Property Management objectives for small, medium, and large-scale projects 
• Manage assigned projects from concept, design, construction, commissioning, and handover 
• Monitor project sites periodically to assess critical issues and initiate corrective actions 
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, manufacturers, and contractors to resolve technical and operational issues 
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management with qualitative and quantitative analysis 
• Review design submissions and reports from consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements 
• Ensure proper communication and documentation of audit and site inspection findings 
• Verify and certify consultant, vendor, and contractor invoices and bills in accordance with contract terms 
• Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors performing construction, maintenance, and upgrade works 
• Coordinate with FM and RS departments for facility requirements, scheduling, permits, and work order processing 
• Lead consultant and contractor teams through design development, implementation, and commissioning 
• Maintain productive relationships with consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure effective resource utilization 
• Keep abreast of new technologies, cooling systems, and data center mechanical infrastructure developments 
• Coordinate compliance with technical standards, guidelines, and audit requirements 
• Support business development activities including technical strategy, proposal preparation, and client engagement 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 
• 10–15 years of experience in data center development and infrastructure projects 
• Strong expertise in cooling infrastructure, HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and mechanical plant design 
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, vendors, and manufacturers 
• Strong working knowledge of mission-critical facility mechanical systems 
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to commissioning 
• Experience in client-facing and stakeholder coordination roles 
• Strong communication and presentation skills 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools 

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management 
• Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) or Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS) 
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 
• Experience in hyperscale or enterprise data center development 
• Experience in energy-efficient cooling solutions and sustainability initiatives
