Planning Manager

Key Responsibilities


1. Programme Development

  • Prepare baseline programmes in compliance with contract conditions and project scope.
  • Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Establish logic-linked schedules using CPM (Critical Path Method).
  • Define milestones, key interfaces, and resource allocations.


2. Schedule Monitoring & Control

  • Update and maintain project schedules on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Track progress against baseline and identify slippages.
  • Perform critical path analysis and float management.
  • Propose recovery plans and mitigation strategies.


3. Delay & Claims Analysis

  • Conduct Extension of Time (EOT) analysis.
  • Perform delay analysis using methodologies such as:

Impacted As-Planned

Time Impact Analysis (TIA)

Windows Analysis


4. Reporting

  • Prepare periodic progress reports (weekly/monthly dashboards).
  • Generate S-curves (planned vs. actual).
  • Develop manpower histograms and resource reports.


5. Coordination

  • Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commercial teams.
  • Ensure subcontractor programmes align with the main contractor’s master schedule.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 8–15 years of experience in project planning (construction/engineering environment).
  • Proficiency in planning software such as:

Primavera P6

MS Project

  • Strong understanding of FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
  • Experience in Hotel, high-rise, or large-scale building projects (preferred).
  • Interior Fit Out Experience is a must
