A) Strategic Growth & Business Expansion
• Providing visionary leadership to steer strategic planning, growth, and profitability.
• Develop and execute a 3–5-year strategic business roadmap focused on growing non-captive revenue, expanding market share and improving profitability.
• Lead the transition from captive-driven operations to a diversified non-captive business model including B2B, retail, e-commerce, and export channels.
• Identify and develop ancillary businesses to bring synergies such as car care services or lifestyle accessories.
• Establish new geographies, dealer networks, and partnerships to reduce dependency on any single client or market.
• Identifying and capitalizing on market trends and emerging opportunities.
• Analyze competitor strategies, and pricing structures for growth.
• Form strategic alliances with complementary brands, OEMs, or regional partners to strengthen business and private label opportunities to expand the product portfolio.
B) Sales & Market Development
• Introducing channel segmentation strategies for retail, online and B2B to grow profitably. • Enhance First Option brand positioning and visibility through marketing innovation and customer experience excellence. • Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies by loyalty programs, and data analytics. • Strengthen relationships with car dealerships, workshops and fleet operators to secure recurring business.
C) Process & Operational Excellence
• Establish and standardize core business processes across production line, sales and customer service. • Introduce SOPs and KPIs with clear review mechanisms. • Develop a culture of continuous improvement and lean operations to balance growth with financial prudence. • Build a scalable supply chain solution with control over quality and delivery. 2
D) People & Culture Leadership
• Build a leadership team and organizational structure. • Create a performance-driven culture focused on accountability, learning, and innovation. • Oversee talent acquisition aligned with business requirement — retail management, digital marketing and category management.
E) Financials
• Work closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation. • Own P&L performance, ensuring profitable growth and strong cash flow discipline. • Identify new revenue streams and high-margin product categories to enhance profitability. • Diversify revenue mix — target >60% non-captive contribution within 2 years. • Monitor financial KPIs: revenue growth, gross margin, EBITDA, and return on capital.
F) Governance & Reporting
• Maintain transparent reporting and regular updates to the Board on progress, risks, and corrective actions. • Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence across operations. • Build strong external relationships with suppliers, regulators, and partners • Drive continuous improvement in corporate governance, ethics, and sustainability. • Anticipate market risk and develop mitigation strategies for supply chain, pricing, and competitive pressures
Skills
Minimum experience
• 10–15 years of experience in automotive and aftermarket, with at least 5 years in a GM/ Business Head role within the same industry
• Entrepreneurial mindset with execution excellence, commercial acumen, and team-building ability.
• Strong understanding of retail expansion and B2B networks.
