Job Brief:
Our client in the energy sector is seeking a proactive and safety-focused HSE Inspector to support health, safety, and environmental compliance across project sites and workshops. The role requires monitoring site activities, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that safety standards and regulatory requirements are consistently followed.
The position involves onsite work, particularly during shutdown outage seasons, where strict adherence to safety procedures and risk control measures is critical. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience within the mechanical or energy sector and a strong understanding of HSE practices, training coordination, and safety reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily project and workshop activities and provide support and advice to the service team to address potential hazards.
  • Prepare and maintain site HSE reports, records, and safety logs.
  • Assist the HSE and QA/QC engineers in preparing documentation required for ISO audits.
  • Conduct site safety training sessions, identify staff training needs, and ensure participation in daily Toolbox Talks (TBT).
  • Report any incidents or near misses to the HSE Engineer and assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Support the HSE Engineer during emergency evacuation scenarios, drills, or mock exercises.
  • Communicate customer HSE requirements to site teams and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures and risk assessment requirements at all times.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of inspections, safety observations, and compliance checks.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar HSE role within the mechanical or energy sector.
  • Experience working in the power plant or energy sector will be preferred.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification is required.
  • Basic knowledge of UAE HSE regulatory requirements and authority standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with site teams and management.
  • Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Hindi will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel based on project requirements.
  • Willingness to work extended hours or night shifts during shutdown outage periods when required.
  • UAE driving license will be considered an advantage.
