·Conduct patient nutrition assessment to determine risks and arrive at nutrition diagnosis to identify the nutrition requirements for general units and wards.
·Develop a nutrition intervention plan for patients and provide treatment recommendations, including diet therapy and education for general wards.
·Provide both bedside and outpatient education, and counsel patients and families on nutrition issues, either individually or in groups, for primary diseases.
·Prepare pamphlets, handouts, posters, and other materials for general nutrition information.
·Participate in education programs/workshops and materials or related research, as a part of continuing education.
·Create nutrition plans and track patient progress to determine if adjustments are needed.
·Ensure that the patient’s follow-up appointments continue through OPD – Nutrition Clinics.
·Participate in the overall nutrition process as a member of the interdisciplinary team, attending patient rounds and team meetings.
·Participate in training staff, interns, and volunteers performing related work as appropriate to the area of operation.
·Meet the CME requirements according to the IPP through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations
·Follow policies and procedures related to nutrition issues.
·Undertake responsibilities of Trainee Clinical Dietitian and Assistant Clinical Dietitian or any other additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
·Submit monthly reports regularly to the Head of Section /Director and any other reports whenever required upon request.
·Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
