Accountant (Remote / UAE Accounting)

QuickTax Accounting is an international SaaS company providing streamlined accounting and tax solutions for SMEs in the UAE. We operate 100% online, making financial services simple, reliable, and accessible for modern entrepreneurs.

The Opportunity

We are expanding our accounting team and looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant who understands UAE regulations and can manage accounting for multiple clients in a fast-paced, digital environment.

Your main responsibility will be maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring VAT compliance for UAE-based businesses.

Your Role:

Full-Cycle Accounting

Manage the complete accounting cycle for client companies, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Financial Reporting

Prepare and review key financial statements such as Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss, and assist with Cash Flow reporting when required.

VAT Compliance

Prepare VAT returns, perform VAT reconciliations, and ensure correct VAT treatment for various transactions including services, goods, imports, exports, and digital services.

Bank & Account Reconciliation

Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify accounting accuracy across systems.

ERP & Accounting Systems

Work with accounting platforms such as Zoho Books, Odoo, QuickBooks Online, and potentially Xero.

Client Communication

Interact with clients to collect financial information, clarify transactions, and explain accounting matters in a clear and professional way.

Accounting Analysis

Identify discrepancies in financial data, investigate issues such as mismatched balances or VAT inconsistencies, and ensure proper accounting treatment.

Skills

Experience

Experience in full-cycle accounting and preparation of financial statements.

UAE Tax Knowledge

Strong understanding of VAT regulations and basic understanding of UAE Corporate Tax.

Accounting Systems

Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Odoo, QuickBooks Online, or Xero.

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

Analytical Skills

Ability to analyze financial data, detect inconsistencies, and solve accounting discrepancies.

Communication Skills

Ability to communicate professionally with clients and explain accounting concepts clearly.

Organization

Ability to manage accounting for multiple companies and meet VAT reporting deadlines.
