Job Summary:
Our client, a well-established regional distribution company specializing in Food & Beverage, Chemicals, and Hotel Supplies, is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify suitable suppliers and manage purchase contracts, ensuring optimal pricing, quality standards, sourcing terms, and supply reliability
- Review and monitor the quality of purchased products to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchased products, delivery schedules, invoices, and supplier documentation
- Prepare procurement reports, including purchase summaries and cost analysis
- Closely monitor fast-moving items and manage bulk buying strategies, placing orders as required
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control
- Manage end-to-end logistics from port of entry to store/warehouse, ensuring efficiency and compliance with all parameters
- Conduct feasibility studies for new product ranges, including supplier evaluation, shipping costs, and supply chain planning
- Coordinate with clients to complete required documentation and legalizations related to procurement and logistics
- Assist in cost control initiatives, budgeting, and procurement performance reporting
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Persuasive and effective communicator
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Negotiation skills
- Experience in SAP
- BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
