Job Details


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Planning Engineer to join our construction team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in project planning, scheduling, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.


Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling


  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software



  • Establish work breakdown structures (WBS) and define logical relationships among tasks



  • Identify project milestones, deliverables, and key deadlines



Progress Monitoring & Control


  • Monitor project timelines and actual progress against baseline schedules



  • Conduct critical path analysis (CPA) and recommend corrective actions for delays



  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports



Resource & Cost Management


  • Plan and optimize the allocation of resources (labor, materials, and equipment)



  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability



  • Assist in budgeting and cost tracking in collaboration with the cost control team



Risk & Compliance Management


  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies



  • Ensure adherence to UAE construction regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies



  • Support contract and claim management processes



Coordination & Reporting


  • Liaise with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants



  • Attend coordination meetings and provide planning inputs to all stakeholders



  • Maintain accurate documentation related to planning, scheduling, and progress tracking



Other Contributions


  • Conduct feasibility studies and support the preparation of cost estimates



  • Contribute to the organization’s continuous improvement and quality enhancement initiatives



  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and performance excellence





Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)



  • Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in construction planning



  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project



  • Solid knowledge of project life cycles, construction methodologies, and UAE regulations



  • Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills



  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced environments
