JOB PURPOSE

Cinergie Digital is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to be deployed with our airline client, a major international airline headquartered in Dubai with multibillion-dollar turnover, as part of their IT Innovation and Partnership team. This role drives end-to-end delivery of high-impact technology solutions with a specific focus on maintaining a consistent pipeline of Proof of Concept (POC) launches throughout the year. The successful candidate will oversee emerging technology initiatives — ensuring creative ideas are transitioned into functional prototypes and pilot programs — while managing stakeholders, external technology partners, and innovation events such as hackathons.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• POC Pipeline Management: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of digital transformation and AI-driven POC initiatives — scope, plan, execute, and close — within an agile framework (Scrum/Kanban).

  
  

• Vendor & Partner Coordination: Coordinate with AWS, Microsoft, and specialised AI/tech startups to deliver technical implementations on time and within budget.

  
  

• Stakeholder Engagement: Manage cross-functional IT and business stakeholders; translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable communications for senior leadership.

  
  

• Innovation Sandbox Governance: Administer dedicated cloud sandbox environments used for testing and prototyping; ensure governance across API integrations and Generative AI experiments.

  
  

• Event & Hackathon Management: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale technology events, hackathons, and innovation workshops to drive internal engagement and external partnerships.

  
  

• Governance & Reporting: Maintain project governance artefacts: risk registers, status dashboards, resource plans, and executive reports aligned to OPEX controls.

  
  

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience

5–8 years in IT project management; PMP or PRINCE2 certification mandatory; Agile/Scrum certification preferred.

Agile Delivery

Proficiency in Scrum or Kanban; demonstrated track record of fast-paced iterative delivery in a digital or innovation context.

Technical Literacy

Familiarity with Generative AI, cloud sandbox environments (AWS/Azure), and API integration patterns.

Vendor Management

Proven ability to manage external technology partners across full project lifecycle — from procurement through delivery.

Communication

Exceptional ability to distil technical complexity into executive-ready updates; confident facilitator across all organisational levels.

Event Management

Demonstrated experience planning and running hackathons, innovation sprints, or large-scale technology events.

Domain

Prior experience in the airline or travel industry strongly preferred; understanding of airline IT operations an advantage.
