Job Purpose:

The Global Manager - Digital Business Integrations is responsible for driving digital transformation and carrier/vendor integration strategies within Global Freight Forwarding, with a focus on Air Freight and Ocean Freight services. This role serves as the primary bridge between ocean and air carriers, technology providers, and internal operations, leading the implementation of digital solutions and system integrations that enhance operational efficiency and service quality. The position holder leverages deep industry expertise and an extensive network within the freight technology ecosystem to evaluate, implement, and optimize digital platforms while establishing seamless connectivity with carrier systems. This role is critical to modernizing freight forwarding operations and positioning the organization at the forefront of logistics digitalization.

Key Accountabilities:

Digital Transformation & System Integration

• Lead end-to-end implementation of freight digital solutions, including eBooking Software, Sailing Schedule Systems, Track & Trace platforms, Global Rate Management tools, and Allocation Management systems
• Evaluate, select, and implement emerging technologies and software solutions (EBL, eAWB, API integrations)
• Manage digital project roadmaps and ensure the successful delivery of technology initiatives
• Establish governance frameworks for system standards, data quality, and digital processes

Carrier and Vendor Systems Integration & Connectivity

• Establish and maintain direct system integrations with ocean carriers for LCL and FCL services
• Lead API connectivity projects and EDI implementations with carrier and vendor platforms
• Coordinate technical requirements and specifications with carrier/vendor IT teams and DPW IT teams
• Build and leverage an extensive network within the freight technology ecosystem
• Partner with freight forwarding  IT tech companies to identify innovative solutions
• Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure seamless data flow between systems
• Monitor carrier system performance and drive continuous improvement

Strategic Leadership & Governance

• Develop digital and integration strategies aligned with long-term organizational objectives 
• Serve as "Bridge Head" for freight technology and digitalization initiatives
• Lead market intelligence activities on technology trends and carrier capabilities
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for air and ocean freight digital standards
• Champion innovation and technology adoption across the organization

Carrier & Vendor Relations & Technical Partnership

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with carriers and other vendors focused on technical integration and digital capabilities
• Collaborate with Carrier/Vendor IT and product teams on integration roadmaps and feature development
• Negotiate technical agreements and service level agreements for system connectivity
• Participate in Carrier user groups and industry technology forums
• Influence Carrier digital product development based on operational needs

Systems & Digital Innovation

• Manage relationships with software vendors and technology service providers
• Coordinate with IT departments on infrastructure requirements and cybersecurity protocols
• Lead user acceptance testing and change management for system implementations
• Develop training materials and documentation for new digital tools
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and user adoption metrics

Collaboration

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with global, regional, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent processes and standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to gather input and feedback for system and training enhancements.
• Ambassador Role: Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s principles, values, and culture. Ensure the highest level of safety in all activities and follow DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or related field 
• Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in global freight forwarding
• Extensive experience in digital transformation and system implementation projects within logistics
• Proven track record of successful business integration projects and API connectivity implementations
• Experience managing high-volume operations with technology-enabled processes
• Background in working with freight technology vendors and software companies
• Demonstrated success in building and leveraging networks within the freight tech ecosystem
• Experience working at an executive or senior management level on strategic technology initiatives

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in ocean freight systems architecture and integration technologies (APIs, EDI, webhooks)
• Proficiency with TMS platforms, carrier portal systems, and freight forwarding software
• Strong understanding of data structures, system interfaces, and middleware solutions
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and compliance requirements
• Advanced analytical skills with experience in business intelligence and reporting tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, SaaS solutions, and enterprise software
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations
• Project management expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies for technology implementations
