About the Role:
Join our dynamic Network Operations Center (NOC) team in Abu Dhabi as a Network & Security Engineer. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and securing critical network infrastructure in a 24×7 environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in Cisco routing, Palo Alto firewalls, and VPN configuration to ensure optimal performance and resilience of our network services.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls in a NOC environment
Configure, manage, and optimize Cisco routing protocols and device configurations
Implement and maintain Palo Alto firewall policies, NAT rules, and security profiles
Design, deploy, and troubleshoot VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL) for site-to-site and remote access
Respond to and resolve network and security incidents, escalating as needed
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network projects and changes
Document network configurations, procedures, and topology diagrams
Participate in change management and maintenance windows to minimize service disruptions
Skills
Required Qualifications:
5–10 years of hands-on experience in network and security engineering or NOC operations
Expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IOS, IOS-XE)
Proficiency in Palo Alto firewall configuration and policy management
Solid experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills in complex network environments
Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent Cisco certification
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
Experience with cloud networking and security in AWS or Azure
Scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash)
ITIL Foundation or other IT service management certification
Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
