Charterhouse is partnered with an international technology organisation undergoing a significant phase of global expansion. As part of this growth, the company is establishing a new engineering hub in the UAE to work in close collaboration with its established European development teams. To support this strategic build out, they are looking to hire an experienced Engineering Manager who will take a foundational leadership role and help shape how the organisation scales its regional and global engineering capabilities.
About the Role
The Engineering Manager role offers the opportunity to serve as one of the first senior engineering leaders on the ground within the new UAE hub. The role will guide the development of the local technical function, strengthen collaboration with international counterparts, and ensure that engineering teams across regions operate in a consistent and well aligned manner. The role blends people leadership, delivery oversight, operational excellence, and the ability to support the business through rapid growth and evolving priorities.
The Engineering Manager will lead a distributed engineering organisation spanning the UAE and Europe, ensuring both regions operate as a cohesive, well synchronised unit. The role will guide day to day delivery, support engineers in technical decision making, and work closely with senior technology and product leaders to define priorities, shape delivery plans, and maintain consistent execution standards. A key focus includes establishing and refining engineering processes, strengthening communication across time zones, and ensuring that teams can collaborate effectively while adhering to shared practices and expectations.
Beyond operational delivery, the position carries responsibility for resource planning, workforce development, and the long term health of the engineering organisation. The role will oversee the allocation of engineering capacity, manage shifting priorities, and apply data driven insights to guide planning, performance evaluation, and decision making. As a senior people leader, additional responsibilities will coach and mentor engineers, lead performance cycles, and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. The role also encourages the adoption of modern engineering tools and practices that enhance quality, productivity, and team cohesion across regions.
