Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients across various departments, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications and therapies, and document all care accurately in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform routine and specialized nursing procedures in accordance with established protocols and infection control standards.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to emergencies promptly, lead basic life support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as required, and participate in code response teams.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy while upholding ethical and legal standards.
- Maintain supply levels, manage equipment, and report maintenance needs to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to evidence-based practice.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent recognized nursing degree.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the United Arab Emirates.
- Entry-level to early-career professional (staff nurse trainee) with a strong foundational knowledge of nursing practices.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and compassionate patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training, professional development, and mandatory clinical rotations.
- Compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
