Job description

A Packing Supervisor oversees daily packing operations, ensuring products are packed efficiently, accurately, and securely according to quality standards and customer specifications. They manage, train, and schedule packing staff, monitor inventory of packaging materials, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate with production or logistics departments to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Manage packing lines to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished packages for conformance to quality standards and client specifications.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor packing staff; manage employee performance, scheduling, and safety compliance.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and manage costs.
• Inventory & Equipment: Monitor packing material inventory levels and ensure packing equipment is maintained, calibrated, or repaired.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of, for instance, batch production records (BPR), output, and wastage.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., OSHA), cGMP regulations, and company protocols.
