7+ years of hands-on experience in data visualization, business intelligence development, or a closely related field. Must Have:Microsoft Power BI or Fabric certification such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) Demonstrated hands-on experience building production-grade Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and semantic models for enterprise audiences. Advanced proficiency in DAX including complex calculated measures, calculation groups, time-intelligence patterns, and performance optimization techniques. Proven experience designing and implementing star schema and dimensional data models optimized for Power BI performance and usability. Hands-on experience with row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), and deployment pipelines (Dev/Test/Prod) in Power BI. Experience building and managing shared certified datasets and dataflows (Gen2) in Microsoft Fabric or Power BI service to support governed self-service analytics. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models, Dataflows Gen2) as the underlying data platform for Power BI. Strong SQL proficiency for querying, transforming, and validating data from relational databases, data warehouses, and lakehouse environments. Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into reporting solutions, and present findings in a clear and accessible manner. Experience applying Power BI governance standards including workspace structure, endorsement (certified/promoted), naming conventions, and sensitivity labeling. Nice to Have:Knowledge of CI/CD practices for Power BI including Git integration, Azure Dev Ops Pipelines, and automated report deployment. Experience with Power BI Embedded or integrating Power BI reports into enterprise portals, Share Point, or custom web applications. Familiarity with Python or R for data preparation, statistical analysis, or custom visuals within Power BI. Exposure to Microsoft Purview for sensitivity labeling, lineage tracking, and data catalog alignment with Power BI assets. Understanding of data storytelling principles and experience designing executive-level presentations and data narratives. Prior experience working within a government entity or public sector organization in the UAE or GCC. Exposure to paginated report automation and delivery scheduling using Power BI subscriptions or custom export APIs.
