Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician to support our chemical manufacturing operations in the United Arab Emirates.
This internship-level role provides hands-on experience across electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and process control disciplines within a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will work under supervision to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize electro-mechanical systems critical to safe and efficient chemical production.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical, control, and mechanical systems and equipment (pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation, PLCs, sensors).
- Support preventative maintenance programs, conduct routine inspections, and record maintenance activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Participate in startup/shutdown activities and ensure all work adheres to safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and operators to diagnose equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and verify results.
- Assist with reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and control loop diagrams.
- Support process optimization projects by providing hands-on testing, data collection, and interpretation of performance metrics.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Document work performed, parts used, and time spent in project and maintenance records.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Controls, or a closely related field from an accredited university
- Strong foundational knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment used in manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of process control concepts (SCADA, PLC programming basics, sensors, actuators).
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
- Proactive learner with the ability to follow instructions, work under supervision, and develop practical problem-solving skills.
- Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document work clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to operate in a shift-based environment if required and to participate in on-call rotations for maintenance coverage.
- Proficiency with MS Office and basic data logging; exposure to CMMS systems is a plus.
