Key Responsibilities:
The core capacity of a structure engineer is to Transform the IFC design drawings/models into construction-ready, deliverable and testable structural shop-drawing, and ensure that the deliveries can meet the requirements of the IFC documents, ACI code, specifications, construction techniques and on-site conditions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review the IFC design drawings/models, and provide an inconsistent/clash report.
- Daily Meeting with all project construction subcontractors to confirm shop-drawing information in accordance to construction techniques and on-site requirements.
- Organize meeting with project consultant and ensure all shop-drawings details will be agreed with PMC before submission, and shop-drawings correctly for the successful delivery.
- Provide and maintain a weekly/monthly shop-drawing submission plan which shall be in line with subcontractor’s construction programme.
- Distribute and illustrate the PMC’s comments to the shop-drawing/BIM modelling teams.
- Review and check the outcomes of shop-drawing/BIM modelling teams.
- Solve all technical issues about shop-drawings.
- Provide technical support to the Design team and assist the Chief Engineer with day-to-day management.
Skills
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil/Structure Engineering or related disciplines;
- At least 5 years of structure design-related working experience, including a minimum of 2 years in design/BIM management and coordination;
- Having strong expertise in structural design knowledge base on the ACI code;
- Thorough understanding of shop-drawing & BIM implementation processes, with the ability to independently develop and Shop-drawing production management ;
- Proficient in Shop-drawing-related software such as Autodesk Revit, Naivisworks and CAD; Strong project coordination, communication, and team management skills;
- Experience in Shop-drawing & BIM management for large-scale projects is preferred.
