About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented data analyst to support a major accounting transition from SAP R3 to SAP S/4HANA. The role involves working closely with finance, accounting, and technical teams across multiple regions, ensuring accurate data collection, validation, and migration into the new SAP landscape.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in advanced Excel, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth and accurate transition activities. This position will be based primarily in the UAE and is a 12-month project-based contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support the migration of financial and accounting data from SAP R3 to SAP S/4HANA.
• Conduct data cleaning, validation, and transformation activities to prepare information for migration.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to gather accurate information and resolve data gaps.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure completeness and correctness of financial data.
• Regularly follow up with relevant departments to ensure timely delivery of required inputs.
• Develop reports, trackers, and reconciliation sheets using advanced Excel (Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, etc.).
• Participate in testing cycles (UAT/SIT) by validating migrated data and identifying discrepancies.
• Provide clear documentation and support materials for post-migration continuity.
• Maintain strong communication flow between finance, operations, and IT teams.

Required skills & qualifications

• Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably within finance, accounting, or ERP transition projects.
• Good understanding of SAP environments (SAP R3 and/or SAP S/4HANA) is an advantage.
• Strong advanced Excel skills: Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, formulas, data cleansing, Power Query, etc.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when working with large datasets.
• Ability to coordinate across multi-country or regional teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in data migration, ERP implementation, or accounting system transitions.
• Background in accounting, finance, or data management.
• Experience working in multinational organizations.
