To provide high‑quality, specialist‑level endocrinology care in line with evidence‑based clinical standards, supporting the diagnosis, treatment, and long‑term management of endocrine and metabolic disorders. The role delivers safe, ethical, and patient‑centred care within a busy outpatient (OPD) clinic environment in Al Nahda, Dubai.
Role Overview
This is an outpatient‑based (OPD) endocrinology role based at our HealthHub Clinic in Al Nahda, Dubai.
The position is well suited to a Specialist Endocrinologist with strong outpatient experience who is comfortable managing chronic endocrine conditions, long‑term follow‑up, and high patient volumes in a community clinic setting.
Candidates already familiar with the Al Nahda catchment area or similar high‑volume community clinics will be well positioned, though this is not a mandatory requirement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive specialist endocrinology care in line with best‑practice clinical guidelines and Al‑Futtaim Health Medical Staff Bylaws
Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of endocrine and metabolic conditions, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, metabolic and lipid disorders, osteoporosis, and pituitary and adrenal conditions
Conduct detailed outpatient consultations and manage long‑term treatment and follow‑up plans
Order, interpret, and act on relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations
Prescribe and monitor pharmacological therapies and provide clear guidance on medications, lifestyle modification, and preventive care
Support patients with complex or chronic endocrine conditions through structured follow‑up and care planning
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
Liaise effectively with patients, families, primary care physicians, and other specialists to optimise clinical outcomes
Participate equitably in the on‑call roster, where applicable
Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental development activities
Engage in continuing medical education and remain current with advances in endocrinology practice
Skills
Candidate Profile
DHA‑licensed or DHA‑eligible Specialist Endocrinologist
Strong clinical competence across general endocrinology in an OPD setting
Comfortable managing chronic endocrine conditions and long‑term patient follow‑up
Experience working in a busy outpatient or community clinic environment
Excellent communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams
Patient‑focused, ethical, and quality‑driven in clinical practice
Team‑oriented, reliable, and adaptable
Familiarity with the Al Nahda area or similar high‑volume catchments is an advantage
Arabic language skills are an advantage
Qualifications and Experience
MBBS / MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution
Completion of a recognised specialty qualification approved by DHA, HAAD, or MOH (UAE)
Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience at specialist level
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage
Publications in peer‑reviewed journals are advantageous but not mandatory
