Job Details

The Operations Engineer is responsible for the execution of operational activities on the demonstrator site, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery. Within a lean organizational setup, the role combines operational execution with basic technical support, including first-level maintenance tasks when required. The Operations Engineer plays a central role in the implementation of daily programs and special programs (VIP visits, demonstrations), ensuring smooth operation of the system. He/she works in close coordination with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Engineer to align operations and maintenance activities. The role also includes acting as the primary backup to the Operation & General Manager, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making when required. • Operations Execution Execute the daily operational program of the demonstrator, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and efficiently. Support the preparation and delivery of special programs, including VIP visits and demonstration events. Monitor system status during operations, identify anomalies, and take appropriate actions to maintain service continuity. Act as first point of response for operational incidents within the scope of the role. • Technical Support Perform basic maintenance tasks and first-level interventions when required, supporting the maintenance team in a lean environment. Maintain a general understanding of system behavior to support operational decision-making. • Coordination & Continuity Coordinate closely with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Engineer to ensure alignment between operations and maintenance activities, minimizing service disruption. Ensure continuity of operations by acting as backup to the Operation & General Manager when required, taking over coordination and decision-making responsibilities within defined limits. • Reporting & Performance Maintain accurate operational logs and contribute to reporting activities, including performance monitoring and KPI tracking. Support the identification of operational improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Skills / Experience: Approximately 5 years of experience in operations of transport or technical systems. Experience in automated systems, rail, or similar environments is highly desirable. Good understanding of operational processes, safety principles, and system behavior. Ability to combine operational execution with basic technical tasks. • Core Competencies Reliable and responsive profile, capable of operating in real-time operational environments. Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders. Versatile and autonomous, with the ability to take initiative and assume responsibilities in a lean organization. Capable of stepping into a coordination role when required. • Tools Familiarity with standard office tools and operational reporting systems. Experience with monitoring or control systems is a plus. • Master’s degree in Transport Engineering, Operations, or related field.
