Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with breast-related issues, ensuring accurate diagnosis and timely treatment planning.
- Perform a range of surgical procedures, including lumpectomies, mastectomies, and sentinel node biopsies, adhering to the highest standards of surgical practice.
- Collaborate closely with oncologists, radiologists, and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, educating patients about their procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings to discuss complex cases and optimize patient outcomes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialized training in General Surgery and Breast Surgery.
- Board certification in General Surgery with a fellowship in Breast Surgery or a related field.
- Experience with advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques and technologies relevant to breast surgery.
- Proficient in interpreting diagnostic imaging, including mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs for accurate patient assessment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients and their families.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in a clinical setting, with experience in mentoring and training surgical staff.
