Roles & Responsibilities

Purpose of Position: The Finance Manager will play a strategic and leadership role in overseeing the financial health, governance and compliance of the Group’s UAE operations. The role is responsible for driving financial planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening internal controls and enabling informed decision making through accurate financial reporting and analysis. This position requires a high level of financial acumen, leadership capability and business partnering, ensuring alignment between financial strategy and operational execution across all group entities.



Job Requirements:

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

Lead group-wide cash flow planning, monitoring, and optimization across all

entities.

Ensure effective fund allocation and liquidity management aligned with

operational requirements.

Manage banking relationships, loan settlements, and working capital facilities.

Collaborate with AR and Trade Finance teams to ensure timely fund availability

and utilization.

Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee end-to-end financial operations across all UAE group companies.

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring

accuracy and compliance with IFRS.

Prepare and present consolidated financial statements and management reports

for senior leadership and banking institutions.

Ensure robust reconciliation processes for bank accounts and intercompany

balances.

Strengthen financial controls around payments, approvals, and expense

validation.

Audit & Compliance

Lead and manage external and internal audits, ensuring timely closure and

compliance.

Coordinate with auditors for statutory, consolidated, and regulatory reporting

requirements.

Facilitate third-party valuations and certifications as required.

Ensure adherence to international accounting standards (IFRS) and internal

governance policies.

ICV (In-Country Value) Compliance

Oversee preparation and submission of ICV reports in line with regulatory

requirements.

Ensure alignment of Chart of Accounts with ICV guidelines within ERP systems.

Act as the key liaison with ICV auditors and certification bodies.

VAT & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure full VAT compliance across UAE entities and oversight of Oman VAT

requirements.

Review and approve VAT returns, reconciliations, and filings with FTA.

Handle complex VAT matters including RCM, exports, incoterms, customs

coordination, and e-guarantees.

Lead resolution of VAT disputes, reconsiderations, and voluntary disclosures

with authorities.

Drive continuous improvement in VAT processes within ERP systems (SAP).

UAE Corporate Tax

Lead corporate tax planning and implementation across group entities.

Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax laws, including transfer pricing

requirements.

Coordinate with external consultants for advisory and filings.

Monitor regulatory updates and proactively implement changes within the

organization.

ESR & UBO Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate ESR and UBO filings for all group entities.

Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks and reporting obligations.

Investment & Asset Management

Oversee management of investment properties (Ewan Residence, Churchill

Tower, etc.).

Monitor leasing, tenant management, rental collections, and contract

administration.

Supervise facility maintenance and operational management of properties.

Manage administrative oversight of Churchill offices and associated staff.

Desired Candidate Profile

Knowledge and Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, within the steel trading industry

  • Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role, managing multi-entity operations and complex financial environments

  • Strong expertise in IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, ESR & UBO compliance

  • Extensive experience in financial planning, consolidation, reporting and audit management

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), with the ability to drive system improvements and automation

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic business insights • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management

  • Drive process improvements, automation and system enhancements (SAP/ERP)

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring accountability and development

  • Ensure strong internal controls, risk mitigation and compliance culture across the organisation

  • High level of financial acumen and attention to detail, with strong control over numbers and reporting accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking and decision-making, supporting business growth and operational efficiency

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build, mentor and drive high-performing teams

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, auditors, banks and regulatory authorities

  • Strong problem-solving capability, with the ability to handle complex financial and regulatory challenges

  • High level of integrity, accountability and compliance mindset, ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
