Roles & Responsibilities

  • Previous experience working on rail/metro project with complex contract

  • Manage simple or complex interim payments application (IPA) in compliance with Contract Provisions based on FIDIC Yellow Book

  • Coordinate between the different parties involved in the preparation of the IPA its final version and relevant attached documentation to be produced and submitted to the Employer

  • Manage simple or complex Variation Orders (VO) in compliance with Contract Provisions based on FIDIC Yellow Book

  • Coordinate between the different parties involved in the preparation of the VO its final version and relevant attached documentation to be produced and submitted to the Employer

  • Analyse/Check/Revise commercial documents and consolidate them in a final version to be submitted to the Employer

  • Prepare and submit quarterly Cash Flows based on Programme updates

  • Report to the Commercial and Contract Manager or Project Director any issue that can jeopardise the monthly payment submissions

  • Ensure that proper records are maintained with updated information in company’s tracker for IPA, Variation Payments and any other commercial issue

  • Influence improvements for internal procedures that help the business function and improve the process to obtain positive results from the Employer, if necessary

  • Become familiar with company processes and interfaces to be able to use data analysis techniques to support decisions

  • Attend / organize meeting with partner, Employer, stakeholder … to collect information or discuss ongoing issues in order to reach a final agreement / solution

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience of at least 10 years with managing payment and variation processes possibly on previous rail/metro Projects

  • Strong communication skills – Professional English Level

  • Experience of working in multicultural environment

  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks as required by the commercial processes in order to meet deadlines

  • Confidence to make decisions based on experience and knowledge gained through previous past working experiences

  • Professional approach to represent the Company to all customers and external organisations/stakeholders

  • Work to deadlines and be able to concurrently process multiple complex issues
