Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of assigned contracted personnel/workers to ensure that their work is carried out correctly and to the required standards

• Maintain safe work environment

• Maintain all manpower and machinery daily records and supplying all the production relate data to superior, maintain timesheets

• Supplying reports on daily production

• Leading the team in the field, motivate them to work and extract the optimum output

• Check with supervisor for morning schedule and Assigning manpower and equipment to the requisite work in every morning

• Liaise with other sections involved in the work, Providing Tool Box Talks every morning

• Create and maintain a safe work environment

• Inform technicians in case of breakdown of any equipment

• Inform superintendent about the requirement of all material required at site in advance

• Take ownership for the safety of all the workers in the team

• Report all near misses

• Give clear directions and guidance to the workers as to what needs to be done to avoid any mistake or repetitive works

• Ensure that all workers have appropriate tools and equipment needed for the job

• Evaluate quickest and easiest way to complete a task without sacrificing quality and safety

• Hold the weekly jobsite safety meeting and keep a record of it in the log for future references

• Inform supervisor regularly about the daily production at site.

• Identify hazards

• Obtain information from HSE Department

• Make recommendations to HSE Department

• Investigate Incidents

Desired Candidate Profile

• Secondary School Certificate with a discipline specific technical qualification or equivalent

• Minimum 06 years' experience in similar roles and industries

• Infrastructure, marine and Civil Works experience

• Marine and civil construction (Quay Wall, Breakwater, revetment, etc.)

• Ability to work several nationalities

• Experience with lifting using heavy equipment (Land and Marine)

• Understanding of computerized controls and electronics technical qualification or equivalent
