Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of ETL processes in a production environment. This role involves end‑to‑end ownership of ETL operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, release management, enhancements, and close collaboration with business, reporting, and database teams.

ETL (BODS) – Production Support, Development & Operations

• Provide L2/L3 support for SAP BODS ETL jobs, including monitoring daily batch executions, incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and SLA adherence.

• Manage ETL releases and deployments in Production, including scheduling, environment configuration, user access, and repository administration.

• Design, enhance, and optimize ETL jobs to improve performance, scalability, and data quality, while implementing validation, reconciliation, and audit controls.

• Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning of ETL workflows, long‑running jobs, and data discrepancies using in‑database processing, indexing, and parallel execution techniques.

Reporting (SAP BusinessObjects)

• Support SAP BO reports and universes dependent on ETL data.

• Analyze and resolve reporting issues related to data accuracy, refresh failures, and latency.

• Collaborate with reporting teams to ensure data consistency between ETL and BO layers.

Database & Data Management

• Work extensively with Oracle, SQL Server, or other RDBMS to write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and views.

• Perform data analysis and source‑to‑target reconciliation to ensure data quality and integrity.

• Support performance tuning and ensure compliance with defined business rules and standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Holds relevant certifications such as SAP Certified Application Associate - Data Integration with SAP BODS, are highly regarded.
• Exhibits strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and database design principles.
• Demonstrates proficiency in SQL and experience working with various database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA).
• Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data issues.
• Exhibits strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
