Roles & Responsibilities

• Daily data entry of purchase invoices, sales invoices, and expense claims into Xero.

• Bank reconciliations across six-currency operations: GBP, AED, USD, EUR, CNY, and AUD accounts.

• Payment-provider reconciliations — matching Checkout, PayPal, Klarna, and Clearpay settlement files against the bank and against the order ledger.

• Marketplace reconciliations — matching BigCommerce, TikTok Shop, and Debenhams Marketplace remittances against the bank.

• Accounts payable: supplier-statement reconciliations, payment runs, and resolving supplier queries.

• Accounts receivable: customer ledger maintenance and credit-control follow-up.

• Monthly close support to the Management Accountant.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping experience in the UAE.

• Accounting degree (BCom, BSBA Accountancy, BBA, or equivalent).

• Hands-on experience with Xero (essential).

• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.

• Fluent written and spoken business English.

• Currently UAE-resident, or with prior UAE work experience.

• Direct-to-consumer marketplace and payment-provider reconciliation experience on at least one of: BigCommerce, TikTok Shop, Checkout, PayPal, Klarna, Clearpay.

• Multi-currency entry experience across at least three of GBP, AED, USD, EUR, CNY, AUD.

• ACCA part-qualified or studying.

• UK practice exposure (HMRC VAT formats, UK supplier invoice conventions).
