Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and design electrical systems, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory standards while optimizing performance and efficiency.
- Conduct detailed design calculations for MEP systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Prepare and review technical drawings and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure accuracy and adherence to codes.
- Perform site surveys and inspections to assess existing conditions and provide insights for system upgrades or installations.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors during construction to resolve technical issues and ensure timely project delivery.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets for MEP components, ensuring resource allocation aligns with project milestones.
- Utilize advanced software tools for 3D modeling and simulation of MEP systems, enhancing efficiency and reducing design conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards throughout all project phases.
- Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Prepare and present project documentation and reports to stakeholders, clearly communicating technical information and project progress.
- Create detailed electrical schematics and layouts using advanced CAD software, translating complex technical requirements into clear visual representations.
- Conduct simulations and testing of electrical components to identify potential issues and validate design choices before implementation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing process, addressing any design-related challenges that arise and ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design reports and user manuals, to support the implementation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, continually seeking opportunities to innovate and improve existing designs.
- Perform site inspections and field tests to ensure that electrical installations comply with design specifications and quality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in MEP design and project management, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors.
- Experience in using design software like AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP-related tools is essential.
- Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and safety regulations to ensure compliance and quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with analytical thinking to address complex engineering challenges effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus.
- Physical ability to conduct site visits and inspections, including lifting and maneuvering equipment as needed.
