About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems for our projects, ensuring high quality and compliance with local standards. This role requires 4–6 years of experience in mechanical design, proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, strong understanding of stress analysis and thermodynamics, and solid project management skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and draft mechanical designs and layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Conduct stress analysis and performance evaluations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with engineering standards
- Apply principles of thermodynamics to design systems for heating, cooling, and fluid flow
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, civil, and procurement engineering
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for clients and regulatory bodies
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems in the field
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in design and manufacturing processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 4–6 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and mechanical design software
- Strong knowledge of stress analysis methods and finite element principles
- Solid understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
- Proven project management skills, with ability to plan, execute, and track engineering projects
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the oil & gas, power generation, or construction industries
- Familiarity with FEA tools such as ANSYS or NASTRAN
- Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent
- Previous work experience in the Middle East, preferably UAE
- Knowledge of local engineering codes and standards (e.g., ASME, BS)
- Arabic language proficiency
