Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform rescues using proper techniques and equipment, demonstrating quick decision-making under pressure.
• Monitor swimming areas for dangerous conditions, ensuring all safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents.
• Administer first aid and CPR as required, maintaining calm and effective communication with victims and bystanders.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the pool area, creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
• Keep detailed records of incidents, injuries, and rescues to track safety trends and improve future responses.
• Inspect and maintain lifeguard equipment and rescue tools, ensuring everything is in optimal working condition.
• Collaborate with other staff members to develop emergency response plans and ensure seamless operations during busy hours.
• Engage with patrons to promote safety rules and foster a positive environment, enhancing the overall experience at the facility.
• Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions to keep skills sharp and prepare for emergencies.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 1 year of lifeguarding experience, providing a solid foundation in emergency response.
• Strong swimming skills with the ability to swim long distances and perform rescues effectively.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills preferred to communicate with diverse patrons.
• Proven ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations, highlighting strong decision-making skills.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform rescues and endure long hours of surveillance.
• Understanding of water safety protocols and first aid, ensuring readiness for any emergencies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with patrons and promote a friendly, safety-oriented environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of the position.
