- Conduct thorough market research to benchmark costs against industry standards and local market conditions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of historical costs and pricing strategies to enhance future estimates.
- Utilize advanced estimation software and tools to streamline the estimation process and improve efficiency.
- Review and validate estimates prepared by junior estimators to ensure adherence to company standards and practices.
- Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to clients, highlighting the value and competitive advantages of the offered solutions.
- Monitor project costs during execution and provide timely updates to management on variances from the original estimate.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniques to continually refine estimating practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or similar are highly regarded.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills to interpret complex data and derive accurate estimates.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in estimation software like Timberline, Sage, or similar applications is a must.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving are crucial for this role.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
