Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures on heavy equipment using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, and fluid changes, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify and document worn or damaged parts, and then determine the necessary repairs.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, and other major components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.
- Utilize welding, cutting, and fabrication skills to repair or modify equipment components as needed, maintaining structural integrity.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and control modules, using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used, documenting all actions taken.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a focus on mechanical or technical studies.
- Holds a relevant trade school diploma or certification in Heavy Equipment Repair, demonstrating foundational knowledge.
- Requires at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Demonstrates proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Exhibits strong welding and fabrication skills, enabling effective repair and modification of equipment components.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
