Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare and submit technical submittals, material approval requests (MAR), and compliance statements in accordance with project specifications.
Review contract documents, specifications, door schedules, and consultant requirements.
Prepare technical comparison sheets and product compliance reports.
Coordinate with consultants and clients to obtain approvals and address technical comments.
Follow up on submittal approvals and maintain submission logs and records.
Coordinate with drafting teams for preparation and submission of shop drawings.
Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with approved specifications and project requirements.
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain product data sheets, certifications, test reports, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with Civil Defense requirements and fire-rated door standards.
Maintain records of fire test certificates, approvals, and product certifications.
Assist in preparing Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and project close-out documentation.
Coordinate with estimation, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders when required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
2–3 years of experience in Technical Submittals for Metal Doors and Fire-Rated Doors.
Strong knowledge of fire-rated door systems, steel doors, door frames, and architectural hardware.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and door schedules.
Experience in preparing material submittals, technical compliance sheets, and consultant approval documents.
Familiarity with Civil Defense approval requirements and fire-rated door certifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
