Roles & Responsibilities
AIX Administration & Operations
Manage and support AIX and IBM power environments
Ensure high availability and reliability using GPFS and PowerHA cluster
Perform AIX performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
Security, Compliance & Hardening
Implement AIX security best practices and access controls
Drive AIX hardening activities in line with organizational standards
Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security frameworks
· Review and work with compliance team to finalize and implement baseline security controls
Patch & Vulnerability Management
Coordinate and execute patching activities across AIX environments
Work with enterprise patching tools like satellite
Maintain and document the patch execution tracker.
Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate findings from Qualys reports
Track, prioritize, and close security vulnerabilities within defined timelines
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams
Support change management and release activities
Maintain SOPs, documentation, and audit readiness artifacts
On-Call Support
Actively participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, providing support for critical incidents and escalations
Ensure timely resolution of production issues and service restoration
Desired Candidate Profile
4–7 years of experience in AIX Administration
Strong expertise AIX performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of security, compliance, and hardening practices
Experience in enterprise patch management tools.
Familiarity with Qualys or similar vulnerability management platforms
Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in large enterprise or banking environments
Exposure to regulatory and audit frameworks
Knowledge of monitoring, backup, and automation tools
