Roles & Responsibilities

  • Database Administration & Operations

    • Manage and support Oracle database (19c/26ai) environments

    • Ensure high availability and reliability using RAC

    • Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning

    • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes

    Security, Compliance & Hardening

    • Implement database security best practices including TDE and access controls

    • Drive database hardening activities in line with organizational standards

    • Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security frameworks

    ·        Review and work with compliance team to finalize and implement baseline security controls for databases

    Patch & Vulnerability Management

    • Coordinate and execute patching activities across database environments

    • Work with enterprise patching tools

    • Maintain and document the patch execution tracker.

    • Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate findings from Qualys reports

    • Track, prioritize, and close security vulnerabilities within defined timelines

    Collaboration & Coordination

    • Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams

    • Support change management and release activities

    • Maintain SOPs, documentation, and audit readiness artifacts

    On-Call Support

    • Actively participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, providing support for critical incidents and escalations

    • Ensure timely resolution of production issues and service restoration

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 4–7 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration

  • Strong expertise in Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

  • Hands-on experience with RAC and DR solutions

  • Knowledge of database security, compliance, and hardening practices

  • Experience in enterprise patch management tools.

  • Familiarity with Qualys or similar vulnerability management platforms

  • Good communication and coordination skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large enterprise or banking environments

  • Exposure to regulatory and audit frameworks

  • Knowledge of monitoring, backup, and automation tools
