About the role

Our client, a well established financial institution, is seeking an accounting & operations specialist to join their team. As an accounting & operations specialist, you will report to the accounting and operations managers, supporting day-to-day activities across accounting, financial reporting, and banking operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting principles and banking operations, which will align successfully in the organization.

About the requirements

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and local regulatory reports.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Ensure timely and error-free transaction processing including remittances, loans, deposits, trade finance, and treasury operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations and internal policies.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in accounting or banking operations, preferably within a wholesale banking environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
