Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage project-specific HSE plans, policies, and procedures aligned with ADNOC and UAE regulations.
Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments (HIRA, JSA, HAZOP/HAZID), reporting hazards and recommending solutions.
Perform incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
Lead emergency response/drills, including confined space rescue, firefighting, spill response training.
Deliver HSE training programs and toolbox talks and promote safety culture among all stakeholders.
Review and approve contractors’ HSE documentation (risk assessments, method statements, PTW requests).
Monitor HSE performance metrics (KPI), prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for senior management.
Liaise with regulatory bodies (ADNOC, MOH, Department of Health), and support audits and inspections.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives and sustainability projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
10 years of experience with minimum 8 years of HSE experience in oil & gas EPC projects in UAE. ADNOC project exposure essential. (Pipeline Preferred)
ADNOC-approved (direct approval) HSE Engineer or candidate eligible for approval.
NEBOSH IGC Level 6 / NVQ Level 7 or equivalent certification mandatory, IOSH, ISO45001 certification preferred.
In-depth knowledge of UAE HSE legislation, ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS18001/45001
Proven skills in incident investigation, risk assessments, audit procedures.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
