Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer – Power Division with a strong background in procurement and supply chain management for high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and possess extensive experience in finalizing and procuring critical electrical equipment and materials for utility projects under Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Etihad Water and Electricity, and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority standards and specifications.
The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for major power distribution and transmission projects while ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and compliance with project requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finalize and procure major power division materials including:
132kV Cables
Fiber Optic (FO) Cables
Bonding Cables
Power Transformers
Auxiliary Transformers
Neutral Earthing Transformers (NET’s)
Neutral Earthing Resistors (NER’s)
132kV GIS
33kV GIS
SCMS (Substation Control & Monitoring System)
FMS (Feeder Management System)
Protection Panels
Source and evaluate vendors based on project specifications, quality, and commercial terms.
Prepare and analyze comparative statements for quotations.
Handle procurement activities for high-voltage and medium-voltage electrical materials and equipment.
Receive, evaluate, and negotiate quotations with suppliers.
Place and finalize purchase orders in accordance with project schedules.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery and dispatch documentation.
Manage vendor relationships and support vendor evaluation and development.
Forecast procurement requirements based on project execution plans.
Ensure compliance with SEWA, FEWA, and DEWA procurement standards.
Coordinate import/export documentation and customs clearance where applicable.
Monitor procurement progress and follow up on pending materials.
Maintain procurement records and ensure accurate reporting.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in procurement for power transmission/distribution projects.
Proven experience in procurement of 132kV and 33kV electrical systems and substation equipment.
Hands-on experience with utility authority projects such as SEWA, FEWA, and DEWA.
Strong understanding of technical specifications and standards for power division materials.

Strong network with OEMs, suppliers, and subcontractors in the power sector.
